Who Are We Kidding?

I love home improvement blogs. Step by step diy. Photos. Paint swatches. How clever they put the closet on that side of the room. But am I going to run one? NEVER. So this ends. One post after it begins. I know blogs are not in vogue anymore, and I know that I will have no readers, but I am going to make a new blog to serve as a journal. This will be the story of me. The story of our home is lived through all four of us caring for it, and if you know me at all you know that I am a hermit and you are welcome to swing by any time to check out any ongoing projects. Welcome

Welcome to the story of our 1830's farm cottage that sits in the shadows of GE in the historic West Central neighborhood in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This is the story of taking a beautiful house and making it (hopefully!) better. We are the current caretakers of Rockhill Manor and it is our job to make sure it keeps going until it's time for a new caretaker. We are adding on to the existing footprint by extending the second floor at the back of the house and adding on two bedrooms. Rockhill Manor will go from a two bedroom to a three bedroom plus office upstairs. Our children will like this as they have been sharing what will become the office for the last three + months. These are our stories.
